My biggest challenge was not knowing where my money was going.  I wanted to provide for my children but could not figure out how  because of my debt and disorganization.  I was stuck and I needed help.

During my first session with Dan, he helped me put together my personal spending and debt elimination plans.  These plans helped me tell my money where to go so that I could control my money instead of it controlling me.  My spending plan also gives me guilt-free permission to spend which I love!

Since Dan started coaching me, I have paid off over $18,000 in debt and I created cushion that acts as a barrier between me and unexpected expenses.  As you can imagine, I now have confidence that I did not have before.  I no longer stress out about my finances like I once did.

Without Dan, reaching my goals would likely not have happened.  But, it’s more than just my numbers and finances, I have set myself up for long term success and am on a path to achieve my passion of helping others through giving of my time and resources.

After a recent divorce, I  was forced to learn how to handle money as a newly single mom.  I mostly just avoided my money but the result was hanging on by the skin of my teeth, accruing debt, and just hoping it would all go away.  I felt embarrassed and ashamed that my debt was increasing and I couldn’t manage my money on my own.  I just didn’t think I had enough money to cover expenses and it was going to be tough facing reality.  I needed help.

Then I started having coaching sessions with Dan.  I left my first coaching session with goals and a plan.  In the weeks following, I learned where my money was going which was both eye opening and stressful.  It was with Dan’s guidance that I realized I was not only able to stop going further into debt, but actually reverse course and pay off my debt now that I was better managing my finances.  Furthermore, he helped me work in “extras” like having a girls weekend away.  This is wonderful because we would talk about how we can work these extra spend items into my plan, and I didn’t feel so guilty or worried about my spending anymore.  That was very freeing and gave me more control.

After 7 months of coaching, my car is paid off a year ahead of schedule.  I have a cushion in my savings that helped me not go back into debt when I had appliances fail – a dishwasher, washing machine, and a dryer all within a few months. I will be completely debt free within 10 months.  This progress is positioning me well so that I can accomplish my bigger dreams of moving to the coast in a few years when my kids graduate from high school.

More than just getting rid of debt, I have personally grown through my coaching sessions with Dan.  I feel more confident, more in control of my life, and more at peace with my future.  I don’t love working with money but I know now that I can do it.

We had money coming and going out without keeping track of it. With retirement getting closer, we had no real plan and feared having to work the rest of our lives. We knew we should be doing more with our money and paying off debt, but we didn’t what to do or how to do it. Handling our finances was not a team effort.  By not being united in our finances, one of us was feeling left out while the other was carrying the burden. We were both very anxious about our money and financial situation because we didn’t have a very clear plan.

We engaged Exponential Growth Financial because we needed to do something different in order to improve our situation.  Now we talk about and aligned on our finances together. With Dan’s help, we discovered where we were needlessly bleeding money and corrected those areas immediately. Now we have an accurate and easily manageable spending plan. We have a plan to tackle our debt with a specific date for payoff.

It is a huge relief to be able to discuss and align on our financial plans which provides us with a sense of relief instead of anxiety. Our already happy marriage has gotten even happier knowing that we are working together and winning more financially.

After one meeting with Dan, we went from feeling fear and uncertainty to immediately feeling optimism and hope. You will inadvertently also learn quite a bit about yourself in the process. We joke that our experience with Dan has been the best form of marriage counseling you can invest in! If you’re thinking of hiring a therapist, start with Dan first because you’ll also work your way out of debt too!   Dan is incredibly helpful and supportive in guiding you to financial success. He meets you where you are and never makes you feel judged. He is genuinely interested in seeing you succeed and celebrates the wins along with you.

My biggest challenge was keeping the money I earned.  I struggled with impulsive spending and had no clear idea where my money went each month.  My bank account was chronically low on funds which created stress.  I was constantly worried about whether I had the money for an emergency or even important purchases.  I often felt guilty about my spending and had to consider passing up important expenses such as dental work because I wasn’t organized.

In coaching with Dan, I was able to lay out a clear and realistic plan to achieve financial peace.  I gained an understanding of the behaviors and thoughts that might hold me back which helped me clarify my true motivations for wanting to make changes.  As I execute on the plan, Dan helps hold me accountable so I can stay on track.

In less than a year, I have built a fully funded 6-month emergency fund, developed strong money management habits, and started putting money into investments for my future.  I don’t stress about money any more, and I don’t struggle with impulsive purchases because I understand why I’m choosing to be responsible with money and the freedom that will bring me.

If you’re serious about improving your relationship with money, building a nest egg, or having stress-free finances, working with Dan can help you achieve your goals and stick to it when life gets hard.  Be intentional, and trust the process!
